Lansdowne Park Construction, the next few months

The Lansdowne Park project will be gaining steam over the next four or five months. The stadium is expected to be open by the summer with thousands of people filing through the property.

Here’s the work that’s going to happen in the first three months of the year:

  • The refrigerated skating rink will be constructed
  • Work on the beacon and children’s play area will start
  • The art screen will be built
  • Aberdeen Square will be finished
  • Renovations to the Horticulture Building’s interior will start
  • Retail buildings will be handed to contractors for tenant fit-up in February

OSEG partner Roger Greenberg provided an updated price tag of the total project: Somewhere between $400 million to $500 million, and that includes the sports teams (football, soccer, hockey).

The RedBlacks start play on a brand new field this summer and the Ottawa Fury will kick off pro soccer at Lansdowne too.
