Lansdowne Park Construction Update – Week of September 22, 2013

The main entrance to the site will be moved back to the signalized intersection on Bank Street. At the southern edge of the site, the new access route under the Bank Street Bridge will be paved and barricades to separate the pathway from the road will be put in. This route should go into use later in the week.

Work will also begin on the new building next to the Horticulture Building, across from the corner of Holmwood and Adelaide.

At the stadium, the remaining tower crane near the south stands will be removed. At the west side of the Civic Centre, along Bank Street, the base and vertical sections of a new tower crane will be put up during the week; the crane construction will be completed on the following weekend.

Over the course of the week, excavation for a new watermain will take place in the northeast corner of the site, along the fence line for the dog park. For a couple of days, the entrance to the dog park from the Lansdowne parking lot will need to be closed to accommodate the open trench.

Access to the dog park will continue to be available from the O’Connor side of the park.
