Lansdowne Park Construction Update – June 21, 2013

Activity will continue in the urban village and construction of the underground parking garage. The contractor for the building at the corner of Bank and Holmwood will begin to set up their offices and equipment at the site.

The frame of this building is concrete, and some form work may start to be built next week.

As well, the work will get underway to build the steel frame of the new building in front of the west side of the Aberdeen Pavilion. On the north side of the Aberdeen Pavilion, late in the week there may be some piling (large steel beams driven into the ground to support soil around an open excavation) to allow for the construction of the underground storm water management system.

At the stadium, there will be continuing activity over the north stands as the new roof is installed. In addition, a new tower crane will be built next week near the Bank Street edge of the site, across from Wilton. This crane will be used for the construction of the building on the west side of the new south stands.
